Position –
Warehouse Worker Reports to – Warehouse Team Leader

Type – Full
Time Department – Warehouse (020)

Position
Description
: The warehouse worker is
responsible for handling of inventory within the warehouse, including
receiving, shipping, and stock control activities.



Areas of
Responsibility include:

  • Receive incoming
    inventory.

  • Pick orders for
    shipment.

  • Process orders for
    shipment including LTL, international, and small package.

  • Complying with
    established rules and procedure for HAZMAT shipping controls.

Specific
Responsibilities include:

  • Complete stock
    transactions in computer system.

  • Complete daily
    stock picking activities.

  • Package and ship
    products in accordance with procedures and standards.

  • Follow all
    precautionary statements and use proper personnel protective
    equipment when called out by Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) or
    other approved documentation.

  • Follow all
    cleaning, handling, and containment procedures as directed by
    product usage labels or other documentation.

  • Follow all
    Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) procedures and policies established by
    the company.

  • Comply with all
    rules, procedures, and policies concerning the safe operation of
    equipment including but not limited to conveyors, mixers, pumps,
    compressors, and forklifts.

  • Report any safety,
    quality, or regulatory concerns to management or HR immediately.

  • Continually review
    work process and provide recommendations for improvements to
    management.

  • Provide support to
    other manufacturing or warehousing efforts as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Operation of
    industrial equipment including wrapping systems, dock plates, and
    forklifts.

  • Capable of
    following instructions to complete job requirements.

  • Usage of computer
    system for processing inventory, receiving, and shipping documents
    and transactions.

Physical Demands:
The warehouse worker will be required to stand 6-8 hours daily and
will also be required to lift 50lbs on a daily basis.

Work Environment:
The position will work in a high bay heated warehouse with normal
noise and lighting for that environment.
