Job Description

Coordinate and support the operation of the company safety management system and be responsible for providing expertise to support company-wide compliance with applicable safety management regulations and standards. Develop and implement a culture of safety throughout the entire organization. Develop systems for all business units and train safety professionals to deliver consistent, high quality services. Create and maintain safety and environmental policies and coordinate safety programs with each customer. Develop and standardize the HF Course. Manage and oversee hazardous material storage and disposal procedures and contracts. Design a metrics system that can compare the company’s safety statistics to other similar selected companies. Develop, maintain, and measure performance against key performance indicators in conjunction with corporate objectives. Prepare and file all required Environmental/Safety reports to government agencies and report OSHA and DART rates monthly to the Corporate Quality Officer. Develop Risk Assessment Tool for each business unit. Manage safety checks/audits for each business unit. Manage contentions improvement of the safety management system. Represent the company during Safety/Environmental audits. 100% domestic and international travel to customer and AAR locations. Must possess bachelor’s degree in safety management or related and 5 (five) years of experience in safety management within foreign operations. Must have work experience in each of the following: 1) development and implementation of global safety management systems in the USA, Canada and Europe; 2) international experience as a safety and quality investigation leader; 3) experience as trainer for quality and safety management systems and processes; 4) development and implementation of job safety analysis system, and environmental, health and safety requirements and standards; and 5) flight safety compliance with US government and international authorities.
