Job Description

Madison Dearborn Partners (Chicago, IL) seeks a Vice President to identify, evaluate and execute investment opportunities; as well as monitor the operations of and provide strategic advice to portfolio companies. Specific responsibilities include: company and industry due diligence including industry research through research tools, expert networks and outside consultants, building detailed financial/LBO models and performing quality of earnings analyses; analyzing debt financing options with lending sources; working with legal and financial advisors on deal structuring issues; assisting in the capital raising process with banks and the public debt markets; assisting in the negotiation of transactions; working with MDPÂs portfolio companies; and assisting in the process of realizing investments that have reached maturity. Position requires frequent travel within the U.S. and internationally.

The position requires a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) from a 2-year private equity program in the U.S. from a top 10 MBA School according to U.S. News & World Report, plus 2 years of experience as an Investment Banking Analyst, Analyst, Analyst Intern, or equivalent. Specific experience must also include: working with CapitalIQ or Factset; conducting industry diligence; financial and LBO modeling; and building operating and valuation models. Must be willing to travel frequently within the U.S. and internationally.
