Robotic Field Support Technician

We are offering this “ground floor” opportunity for a Robotic Field Support Technician who is ready to roll up their sleeves and be in an aggressive, start-up environment while having the advantages of working for an established company.
For over 70 years, we have been designing and building high performance, commercial quality products. From our humble beginnings in Japan with a simple hand-held crop duster, we have grown to become a technological leader and well-respected global brand. Today the company sells its products in North America through ten distributors managing 6,600 independent dealers. An additional 24 Latin American distributors sell ECHO products through a variety of channels. ECHO products can be found in Home Depot stores in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Facilitate and assist in difficult installation and field monitoring of robotic lawnmowers and golf ball pickers.
• Ability to work overnights while traveling to remote locations.
• Work with sports fields and golf courses and make recommendations on requirements for proper system installation for test units and customer owned units.
• Adapt training programs for distributors and end users based on material.
• Do remote installations for direct sales.
• Responsible for inventory, maintenance and application of test and demo fleet.
• Monitor performance of robotic units in operation and report findings to Echo management.
• Perform various other duties and assignments as requested to assist the operation and overall functioning of the department and the company.
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent military or formal training in Electrical/Mechanical or Electronics.
• Recent college graduates will be considered.
• Ability to demonstrate equipment.
• Mechanical and electrical trouble-shooting and repair experience required.
• Understanding of wiring schematics/electrical drawings, circuits and logic based programming.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Travel: 70% Domestic Travel
