If so, Terracon has an immediate opening for you in our Glendale Height, IL office conducting industrial hygiene, asbestos, lead, mold and other environmental assessments on behalf of our diverse client base. General Responsibilities:

Perform tests and sampling of environmental materials including air, groundwater, building materials, asbestos, mold, and lead. Operates field monitoring equipment. May assist with asbestos and lead-based paint surveys, abatement projects, and Phase I environmental site assessments. Transport material samples or documents to the lab for further testing and analysis. Tabulate and prepare data for written reports. Adhere to strict safety standards.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

+ Perform basic tests as directed using well-defined procedures

+ Assistin basic survey measurement data

+ Assist in operating and maintaining remediation systems

+ Assistin the construction of groundwater monitoring wells

+ Assisthigher-level technicians on complex tasks.

+ Will be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments.

+ Follow safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.

+ Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.

Requirements:

+ High school diploma or equivalent.BS in STEM-related field preferred.

+ Minimum 0-2 years of relevant experience or the equivalent in training and related experience.

+ Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.

Preferred Certification:

+ Asbestos and Lead certifications preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
