This position is part of Adtalem’s central FP&A function that leads and supports all forecasting (long and short term), IR support, BOD and earnings call preparations. The individual will be working with the CFO and other senior executives very closely, and will have significant face time as he/(she) manages the budgets of these executives.
Additionally, this role will take on various financial analysis work and fulfill reporting needs of the business, while also supporting any M&A/divestiture and capex/opex investment analysis.
+ Oversees financial statement reporting for month end close, forecasts, annual operating plan, strategic plan and ad hoc requests for total Adtalem as well as each of its verticals and business units
+ Manages financial consolidations, monthly operating review deliverables and other regular and ad-hoc needs of CFO and other senior executives
+ Manages forecast and annual operating plan process.
+ Supports 1-2 senior executives with their budgeting and forecasting needs on a regular basis
+ Works with Information Technology or operations as needed to identify and implement systems or process efficiencies
+ Leads process improvement and/or income generating projects as needed
+ Completes other duties as assigned.

+ Bachelor’s degree required in finance, accounting, or any related analytical field; MBA or Master’s Degree preferred
+ Must draw from solid financial planning experience and business acumen to quickly understand, analyze and address business results and issues
+ Effective verbal and written communication is essential for this role. Must have the ability to concisely/effectively communicate with manager and key constituents in formal and informal settings
+ Possesses professional maturity to work with key constituents/business partners in tactfully exploring win-win situations when resolving issues
+ Has capacity to work independently and manage time efficiently/effectively
+ Strong problem solving skills
+ Approaches duties with intellectual curiosity and creativity to analyze the business and assess current/future opportunities and risks
+ Sees big picture implications pertaining to finance and beyond.
+ Solid understanding of key business principles
+ At least five years of experience in financial planning, analytics, or related fields
+ Significant exposure in a finance planning position
+ Experience with corporate FP&A duties strongly preferred
+ Strong analytic capability and propensity for continuous improvement
+ Excellent time management and conflict management skills.
+ Ability to operate independently
+ Ability to tactfully interact with all business stakeholders for requests and resolution of issues
+ Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel and Power Point
+ Expertise with database queries a plus
