Randstad USA is seeking SENIOR ACCOUNTANT for an exciting and challenging new opportunity.

Randstad is working with a capital goods manufacturer in the near southwest suburbs to identify a skilled SENIOR ACCOUNTANT for a position within their Accounting department.

In this position, you will be responsible for areas of global technical accounting and external reporting for the company’s consolidated financial results.

This highly visible position will be involved in the preparation of US GAAP financial statements for external/SEC reporting, technical accounting research, preparation of technical accounting memos, and communication with counterparts across the world in resolution of accounting issues.

An ideal candidate will a CPA License as well as a minimum of three years of public accounting experience.

Lead staff in preparation and reporting of US GAAP financial statements including external/SEC reportingAssist with preparation and reporting on IFRS financial reporting activitiesServe as a liaison with internal and external audit regarding audit management and issue remediationPerform or oversee financial accounting and reporting activities in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP,

Potential areas include: restructuring, annual goodwill and trademark impairment analysis, joint ventures, defined benefit pension plan and post-retirement medical benefits, acquisitions and divestitures, stock based compensation

Perform ad-hoc research and drive timely resolution of accounting issues; prepare technical memos for distribution to accounting leadership and external auditors


+ CPA License

+ 3+ Years of Recent Public Accounting Experience

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

+ Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of the financial reporting process, U.S. GAAP technical accounting, SEC compliance and financial systems.
