The Territory Sales Specialist – Auto position will be responsible for generating end user demand, building relationships and increasing sales within a defined geographical territory. The EUS will be responsible for carrying out these responsibilities by operating a Company van. This is an exciting, strategic opportunity and a chance to build an exciting career with IDEAL INDUSTRIES, Inc. Currently, there are three (3) positions open in the Chicago, IL territory.
+ Develop strong relationships with the automotive aftermarket community and end users throughout a geographic area.
+ Achieve sales goals in assigned geographic area.
+ Conduct technical, sales and product trainings/demonstrations, etc.
+ Develop the technical expertise necessary to demonstrate and sell SK Tool products within the Automotive aftermarket vertical.
+ Provide service and support to SK Automotive Technicians targets/customers on an ongoing basis in professional manner.
+ Develop field intelligence on competitor’s activities and new product developments.
+ Work collaboratively within SK Hand Tools on coordinating sales activity.
+ Track and report activities on a weekly basis to the SK Hand Tool Leadership Team.
+ Determine optimal sales route including selection of stops on route.
+ Maintain company van to ensure it meets all safety requirements and represents the company well.
+ Participate and support strategic distribution events as needed.
+ Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably in Marketing / Business Management) preferred.
+ Typically has 12 – 18 months sales experience.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong interpersonal skills.
+ Excellent time management skills.
+ Self-motivated with independent work skills.
+ Possess professional presence to represent the SK brand well and gain trust of end users.
+ Ability to create outstanding customer relationships.
+ Ability and desire to respond to and resolve customer problems and complaints.
+ Knowledge of / ability to learn key business software applications.
+ Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and changing environment.
+ Able to demonstrate a sense of urgency to achieve results.
+ Possess mechanical aptitude.
+ Some overnight travel will be required (~10%).
+ Valid driver’s license, and clean driving history, required.
