Job Description/Responsibilities The SIUE Speech, Language, and Hearing Center is in search for a Clinical Supervisor. The Clinical Supervisor provides supervision of treatments and assessments provided by graduate students at the Center and will meet regularly with Clinical Coordinator, faculty, and other clinical supervisors to facilitate integration of academic and clinical experiences. The Clinical Supervisor will assist in the training of student clinicians; host weekly meeting with students to develop, support, and implement the clinical process; provide feedback about sessions, plans, and notes; model and be involved with clinical sessions; track/monitor student progress; and regularly meet with students to guide through clinical experiences. The selected candidate will interact with Center clients/families to ensure quality of care and treatment. Additionally, the Clinical Supervisor will assist, present and attend clinical meetings and orientations as needed.

The mission of the SIUE Speech, Language, and Hearing Center is to provide teaching and clinical research based on education to our graduate students while utilizing quality assessment and treatment procedures of professionals in speech-language pathology.

The Center evaluates and treats communication disorders in infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-aged children, adolescents and adults. Evaluations and treatment are performed weekly with individual and/or group therapy with evidence-based practice approaches.

Minimum Qualifications Applicants must have a Master’s degree and hold ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP). Must have or be eligible for Illinois State License through the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and have at least 3-years of clinical, professional experience.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in pediatric service delivery, specifically preschool population.

Salary $4,333.34 Monthly, determined by union contract and course load.

Terms of Appointment Academic terms Spring 2020 and Summer 2020, and AY2020-2021 with possibility of renewal.
