Job Description

Under the supervision of the Director/Assistant Director is responsible for the implementation of in house construction/remodeling, the corrective maintenance. Responsible for the repair , maintenance and overall efficiency of the plant and auxiliary equipment.

Principal Duties, Responsibilities and/or Essential Functions:
Improves overall patient experience by responding to maintenance needs of the hospital in a proactive, timely, and safe manner.
Maintains a safe environment that complies with JC ( Joint Commission) and other regulatory agencies. Identifies and corrects safety deficiencies in a proactive manner.
Contributes to the overall employee satisfaction of the department by actively participating in department functions and offering assistance to others when needed.
Contributes to the overall financial performance of the hospital by effectively and efficiently managing work time, supply inventory, and equipment operations.
Demonstrate ability to work with little or no supervision by successfully directing specific projects in area of work
Identifies inefficient or deteriorated equipment to recommend capital replacement or repair.
Proactively contributes to stewardship by maintaining costs within the department budget.
Promotes teamwork within department by ensuring good communication, avoid placing blame or gossiping, offer assistance, maintain self esteem of others, thinking beyond the moment.
Contributes to the overall growth of the organization by utilizing maintenance strategies and tactics that provides a healing environment within our health care facilities for our patients and caregivers. This is an environment that inspires the confidence of our patients that they are in the right place, at the right time, getting the right treatment, by the right people.
