Will County Land Use Department

Assist in the development of renewable energy, energy efficiency and water conservation in Will County. This may include assisting in developing and negotiating agreements and ordinances for renewable energy generation. Collect data on energy, water and related information. This position may entail reviewing County agreements pertaining to renewable energy for compliance or to assist other outside parties. Assist with energy efficiency and renewable energy program development and purchases, applying for grants and rebates. Utilize Word, Excel, Open Source, Access and Energy Efficiency software from the Federal Department of Energy/USEPA or other data management software to enter date and information to be used for reports. Enter reports for the County, to the DOE or other agencies on the progress of projects funded through grants. Compile information and data necessary to update the County’s Energy Efficiency & Conservation Plan (EECP), and other Plans and goal oriented programs. Schedule and attend meetings until the EECP is adopted. Implement the current EECP and any subsequent updates.
