Caterpillar Inc. has openings for Sr Digital Technical Specialist (Digital Cloud/Mainframe Developer Demand Planning) in Peoria, Illinois. Responsible for collaborating with architects to lead implementation of integration and data repository technologies to improve functionality, performance etc. Work with Business Analysts to understand functional and non-functional requirements, and use cases, lead technical data project team of 3-5 developers and the full software development life cycle (requirements, design, implementation, testing, review, deployment, and support), lead team in accurately estimating the implementation effort for ETL, database/data warehouse, SAP integration, and data architecture components of a solution from requirements through deployment. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science & Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related degree
6 years of experience developing, supporting, and managing systems related projects using manufacturing ERPs and other enterprise business system data (including orders, inventory forecasting, and/or financial) which must include (i) designing end-to-end data integration with SAP and consumptions solutions to ensure data integrity, (ii) developing integration and data repository solutions using tools such as SQL, COBOL, SAS, CICS, IMS, Endevor, DB2, and DB2 Stored Procedures (iii) designing and developing integration patterns with SAP.
