Job Description

Position Summary: Support operations of the Membership Program, including assisting with the production process of membership marketing materials and direct email campaigns. Support the Arboretum’s mission and vision for philanthropic growth.

Essential Functions:
? Provide administrative support as required for the Membership Program, including maintaining records and files, scheduling meetings, monitoring membership postal accounts, and preparing and editing presentations and reports, as needed.
? Assist with member acquisition and retention campaigns including direct-mail, telemarketing, website, and email channels.
? Support Membership Specialist in generation of monthly membership statistics, including retention rate, direct print and email campaign results, and monthly welcome and renewal call program results. Coordinate distribution of results from reports generated by external partners.
? Coordinate inventory of all membership print and sales materials and premium items; regularly report on quantities and reorder items as needed.
? Contribute ideas for promotions, events, membership levels, premiums, incentives, and campaigns. Participate in assigned projects and present results to management and team members.
? Provide support for member events.
? Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
High School diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. 1+ years experience in a membership or fundraising environment desirable. Attention to detail, solid organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as a part of a team required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications beneficial. Experience using database systems and automated email platform preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. ? Physical Demands: Requires some physical activity: limited lifting and carrying (up to 15 lbs.), prolonged periods of sitting in front of a computer, and occasional travel around the Arboretum grounds and locally.
? Work Environment: Fast-paced office environment.
? Equipment: General office equipment.
? Schedule: Position schedule is expected to be four to five days, between Monday and Friday, totalling 24-28 hours per week. May require occasional evenings and weekends, as needed, for member events.
