ABOUT THE UNIT
Healthcare & Medical Services
Responsible for patient care for members of the University community. Provides services relating to health training, athletic health, behavioral health, and rehabilitation across the University. Assists individuals coping with personal issues, disabilities, and life-threatening diseases.
CAREER TRACK AND JOB LEVEL
Supervises the general health and welfare of students and establishes plans for the safe distribution of medications. Provides direct primary health care to patients, in collaboration with consulting physician and the multidisciplinary health team. Might participate in a variety of clinical research projects/studies involving various modalities of treatment for patients.
P2: Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills. Builds knowledge of the organization, processes and customers. Solves a range of straightforward problems. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
The job provides professional support and solves straightforward problems in nursing assist in the design, development, and ongoing modification of health care to patients. May educate staff and assist in problem solving to promote the implementation of the health care system.
1) Has a solid understanding of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders., 2) Applies logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems., 3) Interprets information from caregivers, nurses, or physicians about patient condition, treatment plans, or appropriate activities
