Position Description:We are currently seeking an Accountant/Financial Analyst to provide accounting and financial support to operations and other finance department team members by ensuring the data integrity of financial information. Provides timely and accurate reporting to Management and external agencies. Provides financial analysis and insight to Management. Safeguards company assets and maintains internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•Using the principles of accounting, this role analyzes and complies complex, accurate and reliable financial information. Prepares and maintains accounting transactions and performs various financial statement variance analyses such as month-end accruals and intercompany allocations, among others. Annual revenue $1.2B+, Assets $4B+.
•Liaisons with Management to align accounting valuations (e.g. accruals) with operational practices, ensure integrity of the financial information, and provide financial analysis and insight to guide business decisions.
•Prepares and communicates monthly and quarterly financial statements, ad-hoc reports, graphics, schedules and statistical reports in a timely manner.
•Performs period-end financial close responsibilities.
•Maintains a direct line of communication with Regional Operations Directors and Area Vice President in coordinating the month-end close process.
•Interprets and guides financial report users to ensure their understanding of financial statements and reports. Adheres to and communicates accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
•Provides timely feedback and responses to inquiries from Area Vice Presidents, Regional Operations Directors, Facility Managers and other field staff.
•Maintains ADP general ledger, processes payroll journal entries (expenses and accruals) and processes entries for subsidiaries. Manages bonus and vacation accruals and other items, as necessary.
•Reconciles general ledger and subsidiary accounts (prepaid accounts, payroll liability and accrual accounts, etc.). Works in conjunction with the corresponding department to ensure the accuracy of data in the reconciliations (credits, amended W-2, escheatments, refunds, etc.)
•Assists with internal and external audits to ensure data accuracy.
•Performs period-end financial close responsibilities.
•Prepares data for financial statements, data for quarterly and annual regulatory filings using applicable systems.
•Applies principles of accounting to analyze complex financial information and prepare financial reports.
•Adheres to and communicates accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
•Analyzes accounts, records, and reports. Investigates and resolves any accounting issues within area of responsibility.
•Maintains general ledger accounts.
•Monitors accounts payables and receivables.
•Performs other related duties or projects as required or requested.

Position Requirements:•Education equivalent to Bachelors Degree in Finance/Accounting. Masters in accounting/MBA/CPA strongly preferred.
•Demonstrates an understanding of GAAP and demonstrates the ability to proficiently interpret, apply and explain GAAP to others.
•Three to five years of general accounting experience required, demonstrates a general knowledge of basic accounting process flows and concepts.
•Demonstrates the ability to maintain accurate financial records and prepare clear and accurate reports.
•Prior experience with AX preferred but not required.
•Demonstrates good knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Intermediate to Advanced skills using Microsoft Excel are required. Travel up to 25%.
