The Environmental Studies Program at Elmhurst College is seeking candidates interested in part-time faculty teaching opportunities. We have an immediate need for an instructor to teach ES 200: Environmental Science I in the 2020 Spring Term.
Environmental Science I is an introduction to environmental science in an interdisciplinary context with a focus on the physical sciences. This survey course includes an introduction to Earth system science, the chronology of the Earth, atmospheric chemistry and structure, climate change and the chemistry and physics of energy resources and their use. The course is a combined lecture/laboratory course. Meeting times are Tuesday and Thursday mornings from February 3rd-May 21st. Other Duties and Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned.
A Master’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Physics, Geology/Geosciences or a closely related field is required.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object.
Meeting times are Tuesday and Thursday mornings from February 3rd-May 21st.
