What you’ll need…
•Four (4) years apprenticeship training or equivalent electrical trade school
•Five (5) years related experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical equipment or machinery.
•Must have an understanding of microprocessor hardware and software configurations and be able to perform basic analog and digital circuit design
•Ability to program Programmable Logic Controllers using basic and ladder logic, read and write wiring diagrams, schematics and blueprints and analytical diagnosis of problems.
•AA degree in Electronics Technology preferred.

What you’ll do…
•Assist in scheduling, coordinating and assigning tasks to department personnel based on priorities to ensure stations are covered utilizing specifications, blueprints and job orders. Adjust work procedures in order to meet production schedules. Follow up on work that has been completed.
•Routinely inspect building, departments and machinery in order to generate work requests. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment in order to increase efficiency of department or work crew.
•Assist and direct electrical staff in all phases of electrical maintenance and repair to machinery and equipment including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical problems. Also, assist with type changeovers, rebuilds, modifications related to the process.
•Responsible for ordering electrical parts including meeting with vendors, keeping requisitions of ordered parts and tracking spare parts.
•Train electrician in process area and maintain documentation of training completed.
•Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment.
•Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors and lighting fixtures. Replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
•Replaces faulty electrical components of machines including relays, switches, motors and positions sensing devises. Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors. Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards.
•Draws and uses electrical schematics.
•Manages electrical process and quality improvement projects by planning and coordinating the activities of production and maintenance as it relates to a specific project.
•Develops specific written project plans for modifications, construction and installation of electrical projects. Prepares interim and completion project reports.
•Serves as plant technical resource and trainer on issues related to electrical maintenance.
•Coordinates preventative maintenance projects as needed.
•Will perform other duties as assigned.
