Provides administrative and program support for the Office of International Education, including assistance with communication and outreach for the program. Plans and organizes domestic and international travel for groups of faculty, staff and students.
Acts as the liaison for domestic and international vendors to facilitate OIE travel and programming, including maintaining affiliate agreements. Negotiates pricing on behalf of the College.
Provides clerical support for functions in OIE, including arranging faculty and student travel, processing requisitions and payments, and maintaining, updating, facilitating access to and troubleshooting issues with associated documents and training modules.
Develops and provides information about the study abroad program and disseminates that information by visiting classrooms, and meets with interested study abroad students as needed.
Engages with students to solicit and oversee Student Study Abroad Ambassadors. Trains the Ambassadors on their duties and expectations.
Organizes and attends OIE outreach at appropriate college events.
In conjunction with OIE Faculty Director, prepares various modes of communications that market international studies information and activities to campus constituents, including maintaining the web pages.
Assists OIE Faculty Director with the monitoring of grant activities including budgets, statistical data, grant submission, and reporting.
Enters data, maintains, and monitors Study Abroad online application system.
Communicates with various college departments to organize messaging, marketing, tracking, and assessing Study Abroad courses and programs.
Provides data entry, maintenance, and monitoring of the web-based risk management system.
Compiles, collects, analyzes and reports Study Abroad Program data.
Represents OIE and Harper College as a member of college committees and external organizations.
Provides support as needed in the Office of Interdisciplinary Programs.
Participates in ongoing cross training with other Program Specialists in Interdisciplinary Programs with the purpose of proving exceptional service and accurate information to students and other Harper College stakeholders regarding Start Smart, Learning Communities, and International Education.
Performs related duties as assigned.
