Job Description

Program One Professional Building Services, Inc. is looking to fill 8 Window Cleaners positions. Work site(s): Provided daily transportation to and from the worksite; begin in Des Plaines, Cook County, IL 60016 @ $14.73/hr. Continue into the county(ies) of Cook, Lake, DuPage, IL, Chicago-Naperville-Elgin, IL-IN-WI. This is a temporary, full-time seasonal position from 4/1/2020 to 11/30/2020.

Duties: Clean facilities or sites, clean equipment or supplies, remove debris from work sites, dispose of trash or waste materials, gather and empty trash, clean windows, glass partitions, or mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, or squeegees & other related Window Cleaners activities as per SOC/OES 37-2011 (

Requirements: Must be 18 due to insurance. Must show proof of legal authority to work in the U.S. Drug/Alcohol/Tobacco free work zone. Perform physical activities: such as lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, carry objects up to 50lbs. Must have 3 months High Rise Window Cleaning exp. No minimum education requirement. All applicants must be able, willing, qualified to perform work described and must be available for the entire period specified and work throughout all areas of intended employment. Based on Employer’s discretion/cost: Worker may have random drug/alcohol testing during employment: positive test/ refusal to abide = dismissal. Possible background check post hire at employer’s expense.

Terms & Conditions of Employment: $14.73/hr up to possible $20.00/hr | Overtime: $22.10/hr up to possible $30.00/hr. Wage may vary. Depends on Experience. The wage(s) offered equal(s) or exceed(s) the highest of the prevailing wage or the Federal, State, or local minimum wage. Cash advance up to $800 for workers traveling to come work for the employer (outside of a reasonable distance to travel home daily) to cover travel expenses inbound and outbound. Cash advances may apply at employer’s discretion.

Possible daily/weekly hours: 6:00AM-3:30PM. 40+ (plus) to include lunch break, M-F. Possible weekend/holiday work. (Overtime possible, but not required or guaranteed. If overtime is worked, wage is paid at a rate of time and a half per hour worked beyond 40 hours each week.) Outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours, occasionally in extreme heat or cold. Variable weather conditions apply; hours may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime and/or overtime. Overtime not required. This employer will also comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws pertaining to overtime hours.

Transportation: Transportation and subsistence will be provided for cost from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment.

Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $12.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $55 per day with receipts.

3/4s Guarantee: The worker is guaranteed employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 12-week period.

Tools, equipment & supplies: All work will be done with employer provided tools, supplies and equipment without charge or deposit.

Miscellaneous: Will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Wage paid every week. All deductions required by law will be done by the employer. Optional housing available at no cost. Will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (not including passport).
