Get ready to play a critical role in Shure’s product roadmap!
In your role as a an Embedded Android Developer at Shure, you will work as a member of a cross-functional team to design, implement, and demonstrate embedded Android and Linux-based audio and video processing and signaling/communications systems that draw on local hardware acceleration capabilities. You will focus on producing demonstrable prototypes following an agile process and assist with the development of less-experienced Engineers.
+ Designs and implements embedded Android-based control services
+ Designs and implements scalable and elastic cloud-based services
+ Designs and implements secure user interfaces for control and communications to be served from both Android and cloud-hosted services
+ Designs and implements user interfaces capable of rendering real time content
+ Demonstrates prototype capabilities as part of larger systems
+ Partners with embedded and back-end software engineers
+ Works as part of a cross-functional development team to design and implement audio and content communications prototypes.
+ Estimates, organizes, and documents tasks. Provides regular status updates to management.
+ Presents development updates to technical and non-technical audiences.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
+ 4+ years of experience with the Angular framework
+ 4+ years of experience with Android application development, preferably embedded
+ Experience with Java, React, .NET, C/C++ development
+ Experience with protocols such as XMPP and SIP
+ Experience implementing elastic and scalable microservices and serverless cloud-based services (AWS, Azure, Google)
+ Experience building back-end services and user interfaces from inception and requirements through deployment
+ Demonstrated ability to offer solutions that balance performance tradeoffs. Ability to self-direct when dealing with incomplete requirements or schedules.
+ Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
+ Manage time efficiently to support multiple assignments.
