Job SummaryProvides primary engineering support and/or augments their peers, sales and end user customers in the most complex, demanding and highly visible accounts or projects without regard to segment, market, technology or industry vertical with the purpose of driving customer solution sales. Provides strategic direction regarding technologies and solutions to the sales team, participates in customer meetings to uncover opportunities and recommends solutions, and develops relationships with customer contacts to help further Sprint business within the account. Conducts knowledge transfer sessions with sales, other Solutions engineers, or other organizations internal/external on solutions, technologies and industry trends. Presents to internal/external audiences and at industry events.

Location is flexible. Candidates near any major metropolitan area will be considered.

The IoT Solutions Architect (IoT SA) works to implement go to market, mid-sales and delivery strategies primarily focused on defining, designing and deploying systems and solutions. The IoT Systems Architect will supporting the IoT Sales & Channels organization to close large/complex IoT opportunities, as well as work cross functionally with internal IoT specialist teams and customers on transformational business/engineering activities such as M2M. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in customer outcomes from sales enablement to execution. You’ll be a part of the “go to” team solving complex IoT engineering/technical design problems, doing solutions architecture, providing product expertise, and working on go to market strategies, to help customers maximize their experience on Sprint’s award winning network, and drive net-adds and revenue of the company.

Driving is an essential function of the job. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license (may not be learner’s, restricted or “to and from work” license) and three consecutive years of active driving history immediately preceding the application that meets Sprint’s driver standards. This information will be verified in a Motor Vehicle Report. Applicants must also successfully complete driver’s safety training and otherwise comply with Sprint’s Driver Safety Policy and guidelines. Many positions are eligible for a company car based upon mileage and territory. Sprint company cars are authorized for personal use.Basic Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree and four years related work experience or eight years related work experience post high school

+ Eight years of sales and/or marketing experience in telecommunications or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

+ Five years experience in creation of technical documentation and formal/informal presentations

+ Five years experience selling solutions, technical products, services or applications

+ Five years experience managing internal/external relationships in a matrix environment

+ Five years project management experience in a technical and/or customer environment

+ Five years experience providing strategic direction in a leadership role

+ Five years of industry leadership experience in telecomm/IT technology

+ 8+ years experience in complex solutions/applications.

+ 8 years experience with negotiating and closing large multiyear complex deals.

+ Combination of twelve years’ sales and customer facing engineering experience.

+ Current/Past Cisco / Industry Network Certifications


+ Worked or consultancy on any IoT Platform like Axeda, Thingworx, Microsoft Azure, AWS or similar.

+ Working knowledge on IoT Strategy , standards , protocols

+ 10 years experience in creation of technical documentation and formal/informal presentations

+ 8 years experience providing strategic direction in a leadership or individual role

+ 10 years of industry leadership experience in telecom/IT technology

+ 5 years experience working with module OEMs

+ 5 years experience working with IoT Ecosystem partners (system integrators, HW/SW OEMs, platforms, etc.)

+ Demonstrated ability to work on complex IoT solution designs

+ 5 years Experience working with one or more IoT Device Platforms

+ Advanced knowledge/experience in H/W, S/W and system certification methods and procedures
