Job Description

Job duties: Gather and remove litter and assorted debris from landscaping area; Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saw, saws, hedge or brush trimmers, and more; Operate vehicles or powered equipment, such as mowers, tractors, twin-axle vehicles, snow blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, sod cutters, and more; Water lawns, trees and plants, using portable sprinkler systems, hoses and watering cans; Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners and chainsaws. Perform seasonal work as need i.e spring cleanup removing all debris from the winter.

This job order is being placed in connection with an H-2B labor certification filing. Position is temporary and full-time. Dates of need: 04/01/2020-12/01/2020. Days/hours: Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm. Location Mundelein, IL 60060, with daily travel to job sites in Lake and Cook county. The employer will use a single workweek to compute wages due. All deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law will be made. The worker will be paid on a weekly basis. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. There will be no on-the-job training. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees). Transportation (including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodgings) to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed, if the worker completes half the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract, or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $12.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $55.00 per day with receipts. Interested applicants should contact their nearest WorkSource office.
