We are currently recruiting an engineering professional to lead multiple projects across our global sites. This individual will work with little or no supervision, apply project management and engineering knowledge to complete projects from concept through project closure, across disciplines and locations.
+ Responsible for compliance with policies and procedures. Ensures quality of results of projects within function through design, early risk assessments, and implementation of fallback strategies.
+ Has awareness of the potential consequences (defects and failure modes) of design changes.
+ Develops, plans, and directs engineering aspects of projects across multiple locations that are of major scope and importance. Makes decisions regarding priorities among projects.
+ Supports development of project strategy to align and achieve customer business objectives. Contributes to the development of long-term business and organizational strategies.
+ Works with customer on project approach / design to optimize asset value. Leads cross-functional teams in resolving project hurdles. Reviews constructability strategy. Anticipates problems and resolves crisis situations requiring astute decisions with rapid implementation by utilizing technical training and / or experience.
+ A Subject Matter Expert in project engineering/project management. Participates on cross-divisional teams to develop and align procedures and standards. Participates on task forces and professional affiliations.
+ Proven track record of running projects to completion, using extensive external resources.
+ Listens to and understands others’ points of view and respectfully articulates one’s own perspective orally, in writing, and in presentations.
+ Works well with other stakeholders in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Possesses interpersonal skills to negotiate and reconcile differences across diverse groups in engineering and external partners.
A technical background in health care, medical devices, biological, pharmaceutical, or similar industries (preferred).
+ Proficiency with financial systems and in fiscal control. Project accounting experience.
+ Formal Project Management training (preferred)
+ A Bachelors Degree in Engineering, science, or closely related discipline is desired, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence, with a desired 10+ years of significant engineering and/or operational experience. A post-graduate education / degree is desired, and may contribute towards the desired years of experience.
