Job Description

Position Summary

The Wire Transfer Associate is responsible for processing all outgoing wire transfer requests and incoming wire transfer information in a manner consistent with the established wire transfer policy.

Essential Job Functions

  • Process all incoming and outgoing wire transfers in an accurate and timely manner
  • Evaluate branch originated wire forms for accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate with branch personnel regarding errors or problems with wire transfer forms or instructions
  • Research wire transfer information for bank personnel or customers as needed
  • Scan, image, and archive end of day wire transfer reports and wire transfer documentation
  • Compile statistics in an excel spreadsheet regarding wire transfer volume, fees, and miscellaneous information needed by management
  • Image executed CWTA (Commercial Wire Transfer Agreement) forms
  • Issue PIN numbers annually for account holders with a CWTA
  • Update HERB procedures as necessary
  • Update OFAC and FATF information within procedures on HERB as needed
  • Generate and provide Dodd-Frank disclosures when necessary for International wire transfers
  • Reconcile end of day wire transfer system report to the number and dollar amount of wires both incoming and outgoing per wire transfer forms

Education and Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years’ experience in Banking

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly:  sitting, vision – close, peripheral, depth, ability to adjust focus

  • Frequently:  talking, hearing

  • Occasionally:  standing, walking, climbing and/or balancing, reaching with arms and hands, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling, feeling/touching, lifting objects up to 30 pounds

Heartland Bank employees are required to have a valid Drivers License and carry standard auto insurance ($100,000/$300,000 or $300,000 combined single limit) in order to drive their personal vehicle or a fleet vehicle on bank business. If they do not meet the above criteria, they may not drive on bank business and will need to find alternate means of transportation.
