Job Description

The Business Execution Data Scientist will be responsible for unlocking topline growth by driving improved and consistent retail execution.
This role is responsible for the development of on-going reporting integrating various data sources to ensure a clear understanding of execution of key priorities in the marketplace and support performance management routines. The role is also responsible for the delivery of quality data, Business Intelligence (BI) tools, dashboards and reports to drive and track improvements in execution. This requires cross-functional collaboration and strong problem solving skills.
Owns the creation of retail execution performance reports, dashboards and tools to track execution vs. business plan
Create value and influence others to drive action needed to improve execution through provision of easy to use, effective tools
Partners with IT to create automated, scalable BI solutions for Performance Management routines
Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big data stores, perform data and error analysis to improve models, and clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy
Partner with cross functional colleagues to understand drivers of the plan and to ensure focus on the highest priorities and critical metrics
Build retail execution performance tools to drive improved operations management routines. Accountable for creation of tools, dashboards and reports providing a clear view of performance vs. goals, the identification of gaps and monetized opportunities.
Responsible for data design including understanding relevant data sets and partnering with IT to develop the appropriate data design to integrate and synthesize information to support on-going reporting as well as ad hoc analyses
Partner with other performance and planning team members to develop and support ad-hoc analysis to build capability (increasing our knowledge of the impact of execution), gain clear understanding of performance initiatives, track acceleration or create selling stories and planning assumptions
Develop appropriate execution metrics based on business impact, act as an SME for these metrics. Enable others to understand how to use and interpret. Facilitate the alignment of key stakeholders on metrics to track
Through a high degree of technical aptitude with our tools/systems, a robust knowledge and curiosity about our business & its drivers and in collaboration with end users develop BI tools that enable action to be taken to improve execution (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
Support the development of capabilities to understand the impact of execution by proactively learning and embracing experimentation to learn how we best incorporate these into our routines
Other projects or duties as assigned.
