UOP is an international supplier of process technology, products, engineered systems and technical services to the gas processing, petroleum refining, petrochemical, and energy industries and is a leader in the research and development of processing. A strong business climate has created the following opportunities in our Gas Processing business unit.
We have an immediate opening for the position of Project Manager in the Modular Plants Department within our Process Technology and Equipment business unit. The Project Manager is accountable to develop approved project execution plans for sold projects, lead project teams through engineering, procurement, and construction phases of assigned projects in accordance to the approved plan, monitor progress, and develop corrective action plans (as required) to ensure successful achievement of project cost, schedule, quality, and safety objectives.
Primary Direct Accountabilities:
+ Responsible for managing projects with budgets ranging from $ 10 – 50 million.
+ Assume total project accountability, which includes managing the customer interface, and directing/coordinating personnel assigned to perform the detailed engineering design, procurement, fabrication, and delivery for the assigned project(s).
+ Develop and implement project-specific project execution and quality plans within the framework of an established project delivery work process
+ Set-up and maintain project controls utilizing established internal reporting procedures.
+ Identify potential commercial, technical, and/or logistical issues and develop required corrective action plans to maintain cost, schedule, quality, and safety expectations.
Primary Indirect Accountabilities:
+ Provide sales support for project opportunities being pursued by UOP Sales representatives.
YOU MUST HAVE
+ Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Civil or Chemical
Engineering is required.
+ Minimum of ten (10) years experience in the design,
procurement, or installation of mechanical equipment or equipment systems in
the petroleum refining, petrochemical and/or gas processing industries is
+ Minimum of three (3) years experience in a project
management role responsible for the engineering procurement, fabrication and
construction services of refinery and/or petrochemical projects in excess of
$10M in scope.
+ Strong leadership and multi-tasking skills are desired.
+ A global mindset is preferred.
+ The ability to travel approximately 15% to 25% annually to
fabrication shops, customer offices, detailed-designer offices, and customer
sites around the world is required.
+ Proficiency with MS Office applications are key.
+ An intelligent risk-taker is desired.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills are
+ Ability to work well in a team environment is key.
