Job Description

The position of Director of Purchasing is critical to ensure strong vendor relationships that lead to operation excellence in the purchasing department, resulting in cost control and savings company-wide. 

Job Responsibilities & Essential Functions

Lead, Manage, & Coach Purchasing Dept. Employees
Execute Global Purchasing Strategy
Develop & Maintain Strong Vendor Relationships    
Negotiate Parts Pricing/Terms    
Forecasting & Budgeting    
Oversees, implements, and communicates all safety requirements company-wide
Performs other duties as assigned
Education:

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience:

• 3-5 years experience in warehouse, purchasing, or procurement

•Technical competency  
•Influence and negotiation skills    
•Financial acumen     
•Detailed and focused    
•Ability to build solid relationships    
•Innovative problem solving    
•Project management    

Licensure/Certification/Registration:  State of Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC)
