The Word Processing Operator is a non-exempt position with assigned hours 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Saturday and Sunday. Additional hours as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Create, edit, format and style documents
Create and edit Table of Contents, Table of Authorities and Points & Authorities
Convert to other file formats
Edit tables and charts
Troubleshoot formatting issues and/or document corruption
Create cross-references and hyperlinks
Perform mail merges
Create, edit and format spreadsheets using formulas
Create and edit charts and graphs
Convert to other file format
Create slideshows incorporating notes, animation, Clip Art and Excel spreadsheets
Create charts or graphs
Convert file format
Convert PDF to Word
Edit PDF (rotate, extract, insert pages, bates numbers, headers/footers, etc.)
Create and edit a PDF Form
Split one PDF into multiple files
DM (Document Management)
Ability to work with DM and Local document(s)
Save DM document as New Version
Save DM document as Sub Version
Save as New Document
Create comparisons in Native Word, CompareDocs or other Comparison Software
Transcribe audio and video files
Basic proofreading for formatting and spelling
High school diploma, college degree preferred or equivalent work experience
Two or more years of law firm Word Processing experience
Candidates must be detailed oriented.
The ability to work effectively both independently and with a team to meet deadlines is critical.
Possesses analytical and problem solving skills.
