Job Description

TITLE: Senior Manager, Credit Risk Analysis

DUTIES: Discover Products Inc. seeks Senior Manager Data Science in Riverwoods, IL to provide thought leadership and strategic thinking to translate business problems into analytical frameworks, and independently recommend actions and provide business insights. Lead the development and implementation of advanced analytics including customer segmentation, optimization, prescriptive analytics and machine learning algorithm and recommendation to solve business problems. Operate as a subject matter expert on statistical analysis, test and design of experiments, analysis methodology, modeling and application, and financial impact analysis. Establish and maintain effective performance tracking; identify improvement opportunity, form hypotheses, propose, design and implement tests to drive strategy enhancement and optimization. Recruit, train, coach and develop talents to their full potential with exceptional quantitative and analytical competencies, as well as project management skills and leadership skills. Manage and set priorities of analysts, assign projects and allocate resources, communicate business performance and project progress to management and business partners. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand their business needs, formulate and complete end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables and presentations. Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of leadership, create visual displays of quantitative information. Facilitate implementation of work product and ensure accuracy. Ensure standard work processes and documentation requirements are timely and consistently followed by team. Encourage continuous improvement of team processes and share across functional teams to ensure consistency. Promote a risk aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or related field and eight (8) years of experience in job offered or related: performing financial modeling; participating in credit risk management in the financial services industry; participating in financial industry practices and performance measurements; and utilizing technologies including SAS, SQL, Excel, VBA, Tableau, Angoss Knowledge Seeker. Two (2) years of experience must include people management.
