Job Description

One of the fastest growing prominent Commercial Collection Agencies in the United States seeks a self-motivated problem solver to work in Brown & Joseph?s Litigation Department. You will oversee and navigate our client portfolios from initial litigation through post-judgment activity. Qualified candidates will have some knowledge of the civil litigation, legal forwarding and bankruptcy processes with 1-2 years working at a law firm or legal setting. Desired candidates will have knowledge of the commercial collection process, however this is an administrative position.

Location: Brown & Joseph’s corporate office in Itasca IL

Work Schedule: 8am-5pm Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays

$15.00 – $17.00 an hour based on experience

Responsibilities:

+ Communicate daily via e-mail and telephone with clients and attorneys addressing accounts in the department

+ Provide each client with a thorough review of their claim by reviewing collector notes, credit reports, fees associated with litigation, etc.

+ Forward approved claims to outside counsel

+ Follow up regularly with attorneys to insure our clients lawsuits are handled properly

+ Assist clients with discovery responses and affidavits

+ Prioritize daily work throughout the day to ensure efficiency and effectiveness

+ Ability to read and interpret documents {Invoices, Contract & Terms and Conditions for Insurance and Non-Insurance)

Requirements:

+ 1-2 years in a law firm or collections setting preferred

+ Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent communication and written skills

+ Ability to multi-task

+ Prior client service experiences is a plus
