As a Master Teacher, your salary will be comparable to a public school teacher, and you will implement Prevention Initiative standards for children, age 0-3, and their families, ensuring that services are individualized and meet the social, emotional, developmental, and intellectual needs of your students.
+ Develop and implement individualized learning for children in the Prevention Initiative classroom.
+ Conduct developmental screenings, weekly child observations and regular assessments.
+ Use observations and assessment information for lesson planning.
+ Conduct parent-teacher conferences.
+ May be required to coach/mentor other teaching staff.
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education with an Illinois Professional Educator’s license (PEL) with an Early Childhood endorsement/Type 04 certification OR Gateways Level 5 credential.
+ Early childhood teaching experience required.
+ Knowledge of Creative Curriculum Preschool Edition, Teaching Strategies GOLD, and Child Plus is preferred.
