Job Description

POSITION GOAL: The individual will be working with individual students or a small group daily. This person is intended to give individual intervention with students struggling with the social, emotional, and academic challenges in school. The SEL/Academic tutor will provide individualized lessons for students based upon data and their needs.


Preferred Bachelor’s degree or higher Preferred teaching experience Skill in oral and written communication. Ability to work and communicate with diverse groups and individuals. Ability to maintain complete and accurate records. Ability to effectively express ideas orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments. Language Ability: Requires the ability to read a variety of resources. Requires the ability to speak to people with poise, voice control and Interpersonal Temperament: Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving Must be adaptable to performing under stress and when confronted with emergency situations. Physical Communication: Requires the ability to talk and hear: (Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words. Hearing: perceiving nature of sounds by ear.)
