Description
ECHO Incorporated is looking for a Molding Maintenance Technician to join our growing team. In this position you will be maintaining all IMM, CNC, ancillary and support equipment. Perform technical and preventative maintenance (PM’s) on all IMM’s, CNC equipment, robot’s, material dryers, material conveying, tower, chiller, thermolators, granulators, hot runner controllers, and conveyors in the Injection Molding/CNC department. Perform daily scheduled work, work orders, and daily checklists. Report any issues as necessary.

The ideal candidate will be able to take on any injection molding facility related maintenance task from start to finish, with minimal guidance and supervision. This includes but is not limited to all IMM electrical or hydraulic related repairs, custom add-ons to IMM’s such as adding inputs/outputs for various specialty applications, assembling custom hydraulic hoses, fabrication and welding of custom racks, tables, work stations, etc., screw/barrel inspection and exchanges from IMM’s, minimal 24v circuit panel building, cooling and other department related fixtures, etc.

KEY JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for Molding Utilization (machine uptime) within the department: Includes and requires knowledge of all IMM and Ancillary equipment. Responsible for technical PM’s and work orders. Must be able to complete tasks with little to no supervision require, in a safe and efficient manner.
Perform all repairs as necessary in a prompt and efficient manner through completion with follow up and corrective action practices.
Execute job duties delegated by departmental supervision. Take responsibility of any projects as assigned. React to all potential concerns or issues brought to attention from all three shifts within the molding/CNC departments (no job too small).
Assist in the organizational control of spare parts, supplies and hardware inventories. Report any supply needs to the molding maintenance supervisor. Maintain all supplies in a well-organized storage area based on 5-S standards
Perform daily housekeeping duties in Maintenance areas to the established 5-s and OSHA standards. Keep your work area clean.

QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years of experience within the field of repair and maintenance of IMM’s and related equipment is required.
Must possess good working knowledge of high voltage electrical, electronics (24v panels, robotic hardware, etc.), hydraulic circuits, and pneumatics.
Must be able to read all prints in the same areas.
Must have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good organizational, communication and problem solving skills.
Must be able to work towards and drive continuous improvement within the department.
Additional preferred skills: Minor HVAC, welding and fabrication, pipefitting, minor machining, experience running conduit and wiring for single and 3-phase equipment up to 480v. Must be able to keep up within a fast-paced environment, while being on your feet most of the day. Forklift and Scissor lift experience required. Able to lift 50+ pounds intermittently.
