Purpose and Objective:
SAP America, Inc. seeks a Developer at our Naperville, IL location responsible for development focusing on design, coding, testing, and quality assurance of complex product features in a development team.
Expectations and Tasks:
Resolve complex issues within the area of expertise, as well as support others in resolving issues. Show initiative and drive topics to resolution in a high level of quality, speed, reliability, and efficiency. Share expertise to ensure product success and also share advanced overall product and technical knowledge within and across the Development team. Act as a SCRUM Master and be responsible for ensuring that Scrum is understood and put into practice properly. Act as a “servant-leader” for the Product Owner and Development Team, facilitate Scrum events on request, and coach the Development Team in self-organization. Remove impediments on the Development Team’s progress. 10% travel required.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field of study and 5 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master’s degree and 2 years of experience.
Experience must involve 2 years in the following: Java; Agile methodology; PL/SQL; Web Application Development Frameworks; J2EE (Servlets, JSP); Relational Databases; HTML5, CSS, Less, Java Script, AJAX, JSON; Apache Tomcat; and Junit. 10% travel required.
Travel: 10% travel required.
