Manage a portfolio of software, published content, and database products for the BTS Information R&D Information Research (IR) on behalf of AbbVie R&D. Develop, execute and manage IR projects relating to product purchases and internal IR operations improvements.
+ Manage and execute IR product-related agreements in compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and objectives
+ Oversee and manage IR contract agreements and renewals
+ Understand cost drivers associated with contract types and drive negotiations that ensure the best value for quality, pricing, and service.
+ Act as a main IR point of contact for AbbVie with vendors
+ Work with IR operations, BTS finance, business, and IR domains on finances; monitor budgets
+ Manage the SRM process (quotes, carts, agreements, new supplier setup, etc.)
+ Collaborate with IR Operations, IR domains, and business on effective and efficient product lifecycle management (PLM):
+ Work with IR domains and BTS Purchasing on product maintenance and subscription renewals
+ Track contract information; manage renewal timelines
+ Track vendor product release roadmap and support plans for key software products, including certification for our infra/database standards
+ Act as IR lead negotiator representing business/BTO interests in partnership with PSM and Legal as assigned
+ Participate in vendor/product assessment for replacement/addition projects
+ Lead process improvements associated with PLM and contract programs
+ Manage IR Ops-related process improvement projects such as (but not limited to) IR-level PLM requesting, tracking, and reporting systems.
+ Lead supplier and license-related issues resolution:
+ Troubleshoot and support license questions and issues
+ Troubleshoot invoice issues
+ Responsible for timely communication on contract status with key internal and external stakeholders.
+ Responsible for the timely communication of contract issues that could impact project timelines to stakeholders.
+ Responsible for schedules and timelines associated with IR Ops improvement projects as assigned.
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems/Computer Science or related discipline.
+ Minimum of 7 years of experience in Software Licensing/Procurement management
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management, Business Relationship Management, or Business systems Analysis
+ Demonstrated experience in leading Software Licensing/Procurement efforts of varying scope and scale
+ Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills are required.
+ Individual must be able to work full time on-site (Lake County Illinois – AbbVie AP-4A building).
+ PMP Certification (a Plus)
