Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Interns assist clinicians in conducting various group therapies, including but not limited to, trauma process groups, break work sessions, equine therapy and 12-step group.

Advanced students may have the opportunity to work with clients doing assessments, crisis interventions and create/run their own groups.

Minimum time commitment is as required by the Intern/student to fulfill educational requirements.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Working towards a Master’s Degree in Social Work or related counseling field from an accredited Master’s program. Currently eligible for supervision leading to LCSW, LPC or LCPC.

First Aid, CPR, de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

Licensure or certification for counseling, as required by the state in which the facility operates.
