Position Overview

This is a remote opportunity. Qualified candidates may reside anywhere in our Southeast Zone near a major airport

The Siemens Smart Infrastructure Building Products division is seeking an experienced business development manager for our smart building automation products. You will be a key part of our go to market strategy and will work closely with Product Management and Product Marketing teams to drive the adoption of new technologies and products by our regional sales offices in a defined geographic area.


Educate and promote Siemens products to Siemens direct sales offices. Support branch sales offices in strategic end customer engagements. Train the sales offices in product value propositions, selling strategies, applications and pricing strategies. Provide voice of the customer; understand the user experience, and the evolving needs and workflows of internal sales teams. Identify needs related to training, documentation, tools, sales, marketing, and logistics for the product range. Be familiar with competitive activities and technologies. Provide support in building technical requirements based on local market needs for the development or adaptation of future products, new technologies, solutions, and systems.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

What you will need to know and have done to be successful?

+ A minimum of 3-5 years business experience with responsibilities for sales, business development, or project management, in building automation.

+ Strong technical and commercial knowledge of building automation equipment and applications.

+ Possess persuasive presentation and effective communications skills, motivation, and creativity to develop multifaceted solutions to unique customer opportunities.

+ Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 50% of the time, domestically as the need arises.

+ Undergraduate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering desired

+ ~40% travel required
