Job Description

What you’ll do in this role:

As a Home Equity Processor, you’ll process and prepare mortgage files for closing. You’ll work closely with borrowers, Loan Officers, Underwriting and Closing team members. This is a great job for someone who values working with customers and colleagues and has an affinity for helping borrowers through the mortgage process!

This work includes:

Taking part in working on home equity loan files by first reviewing the file and setting expectations with the borrowers regarding next steps and timing.
Building relationships with borrowers and establishing a strong connection with them as you work their file through to closing.
Processing titles, appraisals and related documentation and submitting the file to Underwriting for review. When cleared to close you’ll contact the borrower and select a date to close the loan.
Working out of a LOS (loan origination system) to keep track of files and pull necessary data. 

What we’re looking for:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
2 years of experience in mortgage processing or related positions in industries such as Insurance, Lending, or related financial institutions.
Understanding of general underwriting guidelines preferred.
Verbal and written professional communication skills. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
Time management and organizational skills – must have the ability and drive to meet deadlines!
Enthusiasm to work in a high-volume, fast paced environment.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Loan Origination Systems or related.
Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8 hrs/day and on rotating Saturdays:
M-F approximately 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Rotating Saturday approximately every 8 weeks, 9:00 AM- 2:00 PM
