Job Description

Farnsworth Group is seeking to hire a Senior Electrical Engineer in our Lisle, IL office location. This key position will serve as part of an expanding electrical engineering team which supports both local and nationwide clients. Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer? BENEFITS

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
As a Senior Electrical Engineer working on building systems, you design lighting and electrical systems for each project you work on. Project building types include commercial, governmental, healthcare, educational, and industrial facilities. You develop electrical construction packages and provide quality assurance for lighting, power systems, fire alarms, communications, and data.

Your leadership skills allow you to be successful in developing and mentoring staff members. With the assistance of your strong verbal and writing skills, you collaborate with and provide direction to our Designers and CAD Technicians. Together you work on projects using forward-thinking ideas and solutions to ensure that our clients get exactly what they need.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
• 10 or more years of Building Electrical design experience
• Professional Engineer License, strongly preferred
• Solid technical experience with the preparation of electrical construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and construction
• Strong knowledge of electrical, building, and energy codes, as well as the requirements of NEC 517, is a plus.
• Strong background with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and REVIT
• Ability to travel
