The Account Lead is responsible for the development and execution of marketing programs that support Lions Clubs International initiatives. Under the direction of the Account & Marketing Strategy Department Manager, he or she will serve as the point of contact for assigned division accounts to lead strategic planning and project management of marketing initiatives. The Account Lead is responsible for the setup, management and coordination of multi-channel campaigns to meet marketing goals and objectives. He or she will work closely with Creative Leads to ensure marketing strategy properly guides creative development.
Responsibilities and Duties
+ Act as primary point of contact for assigned division accounts.
+ Assist with executing marketing plans that support and promote the business goals of assigned areas (Convention, Service Activities, Leadership Development, Membership, etc.).
+ Leads annual marketing planning process for divisions, identifying the right mix of digital and traditional marketing channels to translate key priorities into actionable marketing solutions. Collaborates in this effort with Account & Marketing Strategy Department Manager and assigned Creative Leads.
+ Develops project plans and briefs, leads status meetings and maintains production schedules using in-house project management technology.
+ Works with assigned Creative Lead to coordinate creative plans and allocate creative resources.
+ Develops plans to gain cross-functional alignment with other teams and departments.
+ Cultivates positive communication flow between departments in the Marketing division.
+ Lead RFP processes and manage agency and vendor teams, as needed.
+ Develops best practices, refines process, mentors and coaches associate team members, as needed.
+ Communicate and report project status to stakeholders on a regular basis, contributing to the identification and development of a standard approach, provide recommendations and next steps when appropriate
+ Manage projects and teams to ensure completion of projects on time and on budget; responsible for ensuring Marketing achieves milestones within scope, schedule and budget (cost).
+ Works with Brand & Creative Team Manager and Account & Marketing Strategy Dept. Manager to negotiate and resolve any conflicts due to resourcing, prioritization, scheduling, changes, etc.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.A.) from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.
+ A minimum of 5-9 years of related experience (e.g., account or project management with a marketing background).
+ Global marketing and localization experience is a plus.
+ Experience working with an agency or internal creative department.
