Guidehouse is seeking a highly motivated, strategic, and creative Experience Design Leader to build and drive best-in-class customer experiences. You understand how to consider, create, and execute strategic plans to achieve a goal. You have successfully aligned timelines, objectives, and resources for maximum impact.

You will lead people through complex challenges and are comfortable leading, coaching, and working with designers, developers, data/analytics and product managers to conceive and deliver effective experiences and strategy.

You will represent Guidehouse and be voice of the strategy while advocating for the client and end user. You will support product initiatives, communicate and present across all levels of the organization, and work with multiple cross-functional teams. You will work closely with our clients on large digital engagements, helping to envision solutions, review creative, and deliver effective, innovation solutions to complex business problems.

You will help both our Guidehouse and client teams to increase their positive impact on their organization and end users. Guidehouse will look to you to identify opportunities to improve what we do and how we work. You will participate in proposals for new work, translating opportunities to intentions and notional plans.



+ In-depth knowledge and experience within a relevant Digital discipline (Strategy Design, Systems Design, Business Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Product Design, Experience Design)

+ 7-10 years of professional experience in a digital/design consultancy or equivalent position

+ Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand, define, capture, and execute strategy, objectives, tactics, and success

+ Translate objectives into to tactics and delivery plans

+ Conceptualize, execute and refine design specifications and design standards in the form of interaction models, process flows, and information architecture

+ Understand complex qualitative and quantitative research data, business goals and requirements, and translate them into actionable items (user stories, tactics, objectives, recommendations, etc.)

+ Create customer-centric solutions that address business, brand and user requirements

+ Lead participatory design activities (e.g. client workshops, card sorting) to understand vision, strategy, business model, digital capabilities and knowledge about user needs and behaviors.

+ Proven experiences of launching services that have been implemented in the real world

+ Deep expertise in design thinking/human-centered design

+ Ability to work within a self-directed culture and navigate ambiguity

+ Demonstrate a portfolio of work with a proven track record for solving complex delivery challenges

+ Outstanding facilitation, brainstorming and collaboration skills

+ Experience closely collaborating with technical teams

+ US Citizenship required

+ Must provide a portfolio of work for review

+ Minimum Years of Experience: 7+ years (agency experience is a plus)

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Visual/Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, or other related field.


Required Skills & Experience:

+ A minimum of 7-10 years of significant experience in information architecture and UX design for user-centered projects such as: responsive websites, web and mobile applications and other interactive touch points

+ Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Human Computer Interaction, Digital Media Design, Fine Arts or related field is desired

+ Demonstrate a portfolio of work with a proven track record for solving complex UX design problems

+ In-depth knowledge of iOS and Android platforms

+ Proven track record of building, managing and mentoring a team

+ Experience building low and high fidelity prototypes of digital products to illustrate future concepts and functionality to clients (use of Paper, Invision, Principle, After Effects, etc.)

+ Outstanding facilitation, brainstorming and collaboration skills

+ Proven experience conducting user research and translating user research into design decisions

+ Extensive experience building design systems that integrate with complex data

+ Strong background in usability testing, and building rapid prototypes

+ Experience working with an Agile development team

+ Experience closely collaborating with technical teams

+ Expert knowledge of tools like Sketch, Craft Axure, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar

+ Must be strategic, and creative while remaining detail oriented and process focused

+ Familiarity with current web development technologies, standards and best practices, including: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript

Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree
