Job Description

Our next Chief Financial Officer must be a forward thinker, proactive communicator and a financial whiz ready to help Fehr Graham grow and prosper. Simply put, this is not your typical CFO position. While the right person will direct the fiscal functions of the company to maximize return on financial assets, he or she will actively participate in driving the firm’s strategic plan, Vision 2024. We are an innovative engineering and environmental consulting firm with offices in Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin with plans to expand into more markets. Our next CFO must be a leader who communicates well and executes precisely. He or she must manage multiple priorities with an imaginative mind while building strong relationships throughout the firm. This person must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and must thrive on accomplishing strategic initiatives.
Essential Functions
Plans, develops, organizes, directs and evaluates fiscal, accounting, human resources, information systems and marketing functions and performance.
Participates as a strategic partner in the development of company plans and programs.
Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of programs/strategies and regulatory action.
Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures.
Protects assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls.
Provides status of financial condition of the company with reports on key financial data.
Serves as the overall risk manager of the organization, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local laws and administers the company’s insurance programs.
Counsels and guides members on acquisitions.
Arranges audits as required and appropriate.
Serves with wide-ranging authority to take all legal and ethical actions necessary to maximize return on investment and other company goals and objectives.
