Notre Dame Global Partnerships (NDGP) manages the sales, marketing, sponsorship, premium hospitality, multimedia rights and branding services for the University of Notre Dame’s Athletics programs. A joint venture of JMI Sports and Legends, NDGP is singularly focused on building integrated partnerships with industry-leading brands that share the University’s commitment to both academic and athletic excellence.
The Director of Partnership Development will be primarily responsible for driving new business development as a member of the development team. The Director will also be responsible for individually driving six- and seven- figure, multi-year partnerships. This position will report to the Vice President, Partnership Development.
+ Act as a thought leader and key contributor in NDGP’s business development process.
+ Work with new partnership development team to manage key category development and platform ideation for new and existing partners.
+ Secure and conduct partnership development meetings with potential clients by leveraging relationships as well as cold outreach
+ Aim to understand the marketing and business objectives of prospective clients and their agencies to determine how a partnership with NDGP can help them achieve their goals
+ Work with partnership marketing and other organizational departments to continuously create and implement innovative platforms and assets that will provide incremental revenue opportunities for NDGP.
+ Develop relationships and work directly with key University colleagues to create a collaborative business development process and the opportunity for integrated partnerships. Work with business development team to design high-level vision decks and interactive practice pitch meetings.
+ Maintain accurate reporting processes, procedures and partner database (CRM) management.
+ Build, develop and track robust new revenue pipeline to present to senior leadership and ownership on a weekly/monthly basis.
+ Attend weekly meetings with senior-level executives and provide routine recruit updates.
+ Be a team player and contribute to the general success of NDGP across all facets, including positively representing NDGP among all corporate and University partners.

+ Minimum of four (4) years of high-level partnership revenue performance preferred selling partnerships for professional, collegiate or media sports property.
+ Strong understanding of the partnership development process, including integrated platform development.
+ A proven track record in pitching, negotiating and closing six and seven-figure sponsorship deals
+ Expert time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines on numerous concurrent projects.
+ Excellent spelling, grammar, proofreading skills, and a strong ability to communicate ideas both orally and in writing. Proficient in all Microsoft Office products, KORE Software, and a myriad of third-party research.
