Job Description

Service Central Inc is expanding its Distributors and Sales team, and to support this effort has an immediate opening for a full time Senior Customer Service Representative in Steger IL. In business for over 35 years, Service Central Inc provided Specialty locks and Cashier Supplies to Manufacturing and Commercial Accounts shipped from Steger IL to customers across the USA and Canada. We have a small office environment where everyone works together to provide a Complete Buying Experience for our Commercial / Manufacturing Accounts. Service Central Inc is a Drug Free, Smoke Free, CDC Covid Compliant Workplace.
Senior Customer Service- Essential Duties and Competencies:
? Quote Management : Process new opportunities when applicable; entering them into Quickbooks software. Manage quotes and quoted opportunities using follow-up lists in the territory, while continually updating new information into the system. Support quoting process by efficiently communicating with Sales team including new Resellers and Distributors. Review upselling opportunities on every quote with management and communicate the outcome. Create Sales Orders to distribute to production departments. Perform self-check and proof read all information ( quotes and orders). Utilize project management methods and tools to enable a structured approach to deliver on commitments.
? Leadership : Identify and develop training material, as required. Mentor, and coach the team, new Distributors and outside team members to implement consistent work processes. Assist in recruiting new talent as needed. Offer input into team member regular performance reviews. Develop and report on key performance indicators periodically, in collaboration with management.
? Documentation : Document all communication with customer utilizing the proper processes and tools, as trained by management.
? Collaboration: Collaborate directly with Sales team, Marketing, Accounting and off site team members. Support on-boarding of new team members, Distributors and Resellers by providing on-the- job training in person and remote using Teams or Zoom Programs.
? Technical Knowledge: Receive RFQs and customer orders from Sales and generate quotes and sales orders using Quickbooks Software. In case more information is needed to enter a quote or sales order, then collaborate with Sales to obtain the information.
? Internal & External Communications: Communicate internally with other department staff and the customer in a professional, respectful manner.
? Time Management: Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the team. Extended working hours may be required based on production.
? Miscellaneous : Other duties as assigned.

Skills needed:
Computer Skills: Above Average Understanding of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with QuickBooks Manufacturing Software a Plus. Must be able to Communicate effectively both Verbally and in Writing. Work Experience: 5 years experience in Customer Service where quote/ order processing and analyzing information was primary. Strong communication and typing skills of 40 WPM minimum. Supervisor experience at a Casino is preferred. Education : College Degree is Preferred
A combination of the above criteria will also be considered. Benefits based on length of service include Health Insurance,
Tuition reimbursement, Paid Vacation and Retirement Plan. After 90 days, potential of working remote up to 2 days / week. Full time: 35 to 40 hrs/week.
