The Content Strategist Manager will play a critical role in the content strategy development, planning and execution of all branded communications internally and externally for Becker. Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager of Brand, Content and Creative, you will be responsible for crafting our content marketing strategy and project managing the content execution as well as contributing to collateral and communications for product sales.
From concept through completion, this candidate will bring our brand voice and pillars to life and improve our customer perception of the brand through content. You will manage our content strategy end-to-end, spearhead our thought leadership communications, improve our SEO performance and police consistency across all our various communication touchpoints .
+ Act as editor-in-chief and own the editorial calendar for The Plus Side blog, including developing briefs for content/SEO alignment, managing freelance and subject matter expert writers, editing and posting.
+ Collaborate with our product and partnership marketing managers to develop a high-performing communications plan in support of their growth efforts for our product lines, including SEO strategy, lead generation tactics, social media, etc.
+ Collaborate with our SEO lead and agency to execute best-in-class SEO strategies across all digital content tactics.
+ Work with our public relations agency to drive the development of market-relevant and differentiated thought leadership.
+ In collaboration with the Becker Social Media Specialist, create and drive a robust social media program that drives a strong share of voice and brand position.
+ Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or a related field.
+ 7-10 years of experience in content role, preferably with experience in the education industry.
+ Expert in online and offline content strategy, including thought leadership creation, blogs, social, PR, SEO, influencer cultivation, etc.
+ Strong organizational, logistical project management and content development skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining work quality, meet milestones and communicate status on concurrent projects.
+ Compelling and diverse portfolio with a clear craftsmanship for concept-driven storytelling, examples spanning digital (email, web, social, etc.), environmental and print executions.
+ Superior copyediting and proofreading skills with adherence to AP style guides.
