Description

This role is responsible for developing and executing internal/external communication plans, including promotional programs, for assigned products/portfolios to help fill the funnel and drive revenue for PSS ($1.4B) globally, in partnership with regional and global marketing. This role is accountable for creating bold, consistent stories/messaging/assets that influences target audience(s) to purchase products by using the right medium in a timely manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Develop and execute communications plans for assigned PSS products/portfolio including new product launches/refreshes to complement commercial and global marketing initiatives. This includes website, social media, email, events, videos, media relations, marketing collateral, etc.

+ Build, implement, and oversea oversee promotional programs including, but not limited to, digital and print campaigns for assigned products/portfolios.

+ Owns campaign ROI. Collaborates with new business generation team to facilitate successful lead follow up and the digital center of excellence to track and report on campaign results to make campaign improvements.

+ Collaborates with Content Manager to develop content pillar for assigned products/portfolio.

+ Create bold, consistent stories/messaging that influences target audience(s) to purchase products using the right medium in a timely manager. Plan and oversees customer interviews and/or market research to determine what resonates with target audience(s).

+ Plan and manage the design, content, and production of all materials, including adherence to corporate branding and regulatory guidelines.

+ Ensures all materials reinforce organizational mission, brand promise, and focus areas.

SCOPE:

+ Assess needs, prioritize, and execute projects based on needs and desires of the business.

+ Be a thought-leader on marketing communication strategy including digital and content marketing – what does innovative marketing look like? Share best practices and recommendations with the entire marketing team to ensure we are consistently delivering excellence. Always push the envelope; don’t settle for “what we’ve always done”

+ Work across the globe with commercial marketing and global marketing teams to understand needs, drive collaboration and execute materials and strategies that have widespread value.

+ Work closely with sales and obtain direct customer feedback (through interviews or market research) to determine what stories/messages resonate with target audience in the right medium at the right time.

JOB COMPLEXITY:

+ The major challenges in this role are ensuring:

+ Marketing communication plans and promotional programs are proactive and align with business needs and commercial and global strategies.

+ Cross-functional collaboration to determine optimal go-to-market communication strategy for assigned product/portfolio.

+ Thorough understanding what is most compelling to target audience – what stories/messages resonate, what mediums are most effective, when is the right time to deliver?

+ Connect campaign performance to revenue to prove return on investment.

+ The role also requires staying on the cutting edge of virtual sales enablement; a space that is evolving rapidly

+ This role will be expected to execute projects independently, with minimal guidance from management

+ The role will be partners to the marketing managers to drive upstream and downstream strategy.

+ For decision making, this position interacts with the Director of Marketing Communications (PSS) and key work partners in PSS and regional marketing.

INFLUENCE, IMPACT, INTERACTION:

+ This person is responsible ensuring the effective internal and external communication of assigned products/portfolios to build awareness, fill the funnel and ultimately drive revenue. This person will be responsible for arming the sales team with the proper tools and developing effective advertising/promotional plans.

+ Without this role, our sales team will not have the materials to be successful, we would not reach the right audience with the right medium at the right time, which will result in lower revenue. It could also result in a loss of credibility and relevance in the marketplace.

+ This role will most commonly interact with commercial/global marketing managers and senior managers. On pan-PSS initiatives/projects, this role will interact with the appropriate executive director or team lead

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

+ Bachelor’s Degree required

+ 5 years of marketing or marketing communication experience.

+ Agency experience preferred.

+ Experience with digital marketing preferred

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

+ Strong communication skills, both written and oral

+ Excellent collaboration skills – ability to gain alignment with many cross functional partners

+ Excellent reliability and “say-to-do” ratio

+ Innovative and ability to think outside the box

+ Ability to overcome obstacles and deal with ambiguity

+ Strong planning, organizational and project management skills – be proactive

+ Ability to work independently and efficiently.

+ In-depth knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint. Experience with Adobe Suite is a plus. Actively use several social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, etc.).

+ Understand digital marketing strategy and how it can produce a positive ROI.

+ Knowledge of the healthcare technology market is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

+ High use of virtual meeting technologies when working from home and eventually typical office work environment with occasional travel (5-10%).
