The Team Leader manages and coordinates direct services in group homes for adults with developmental disabilities and coordinates with assigned Case Managers to ensure services to individuals in the community living program are provided according to individual plans and as needs arise. Team Leaders supervise Direct Service Professionals (DSPs) and ensures a safe, healthy and comfortable home environment where each person thrives, and independence is promoted. The Team Leader promotes a sense of community engagement in each neighborhood where Aspire community homes are located. In partnership with individuals, their family and friends, Aspire team members and other members of their support teams, Team Leaders respond to the unique needs and dreams of each individual so that meaningful life experiences can be realized. PPE is provided to all team members and regular cleaning and disinfecting regiments are followed to maintain a safe work and living environment. Responsibilities and Qualifications
? Supervise DSPs; including monitoring and evaluating team member performance and providing coaching as needed
? Schedule, review and monitor DSP training
? Provide documented supervision to all direct reports to assure quality, agency, and departmental goals are met, including hiring, training, scheduling, payroll, evaluation and talent reviews, time off, and disciplinary action.
? Schedule and assure proper team member/resident ratios according to the needs of the people living in the home
? Manage scheduling to operate services within budget; (may include covering shifts and adjusting schedule).
? Schedule and manage all DSP time off according to policy and procedures
? Provide on-call coverage as scheduled or as assigned.
? Respond to medical and/or behavioral crisis situations and provide support to fellow team members as needed
? Work with Case manager and DSP’s to provide assistance to each person in accordance with each person’s Individual Service Plans.
? Assure compliance with each participant’s safety, health and wellness, and human rights
? Advocate for each individual to ensure each is treated with dignity and respect, given the opportunity to exercise his/her individuality, and has access to explore opportunities of interest to each.
? Work with participants to explore and arrange for menu planning, shopping, activities, outings, hobbies, etc.,
? Maintain the physical structure (maintenance, safety, and cleanliness) of the assigned homes; report need for repairs, improvements, and risks.
? Manage home and resident funds within budget parameters (to include assignment of food and supply shopping)
? Ensure compliance with paperwork
? Effectively communicate within the appropriate timeframe all necessary information to the proper team members, departments, and others who need to know.
? Make recommendations and assist with changes in the development and delivery of new and/or existing policies, procedures, services, etc., to optimize quality assurance, reduce department deficits, and maintain the integrity of the department and Aspire.
? Maintain Authorized DSP and medication authorized DSP status for all assigned homes
? Safely drive agency vehicles.
? Use a computer/computer programs for documentation and communications
? Cooperation with Compliance and Quality Improvement initiatives and protocols
? Complete all required training including but not limited to AMTS/MANDT, CPR/FA, Clinical Trainings, Rule 50 Abuse Neglect
? Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor.

? High School Diploma
? Minimum of 1 year experience supporting persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities
? Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
? Ability to obtain and maintain PACE certification
? Minimum 23 years of age
? Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to write reports
? Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from families, employees, and the general public
? Ability to maintain confidential information.
? Ability to deal tactfully and courteously with participants, employees at all levels, families, and the general public
? Willingness and ability to work flexible hours and days, including some holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or related field
? Experience supervising employees
