Position Summary:*
As the Assistant Store Manager you will be responsible to implement systems, coordinate and evaluate the merchandising, employees, operational, and expense controls for our discount closeout chain. Success depends on your ability to organize all stores, hire, train, and motivate your team in our fast-paced, challenging and compelling environment.

Salary: 32,000.00 – 35,000.00 – DOE

Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Work as a team player and be able to take the lead role when SM is not presentAble to manage store operations in the absence of store manager.
Good reasoning abilities and sound judgments, and good conflict resolution skills while working with co-workers and customers.
Other duties may be assigned.

Three to five years’ retail leadership experience as a Store Manager
Proven ability to manage, develop and motivate a large team
2-3 years of experience in customer service
3 years of experience of retail management
Associates degree

Work Environment: Able to manage store operations with constant changes.

Work Hours: Sunday – 9 AM to 7 PM; Monday to Saturday – 8 AM to 10 PM. Management is required to work a minimum of 2 weekends per month, and 45 hours p/week.

Physical and Mental Demands: Medium to heavy lifting, with occasional exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force frequently. On an infrequent basis the employee lifts up to 70 pounds of bulk product with assistance. This may not occur on a daily basis. This job also requires constant standing and walking. The employee must know and follow proper safety protocols; know product loads and spatial relations to effectively and safely stage products for loading.
Must be able to lift,push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Bend, lift, carry boxes, stand and walk short distances but for prolonged periods
Must be able to work flexible retail hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays
Must be able to travel to other locations when needed for business purposes
