SAP’s Value Advisory Practice helps companies transform their organizations by collaboratively developing justifications for technology investment decisions, aligning solutions and business outcomes to strategic imperatives, building business cases, and developing value roadmaps. Successful Industry Advisors provide industry thought leadership, strategic solution advice and expert consultation to support customer co-innovation, and business process performance improvement programs.
Job Description and Expectations:
The Value Advisor is a critical role supporting general industry business to grow sales, pipeline and customer adoption and satisfaction. The Value Advisor provides a business process and industry perspective, develops business cases and thought leadership to support sales cycles, drive pipeline growth and contribute to building and maintaining SAP’s leadership position and brand.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Core criteria and role objectives:
1. Have expert foundational knowledge critical to the role, such as, developing business cases and related metrics, use of tools and templates, etc.
2. Be able to successfully pitch value engagements to customers
3. Be able to lead complex engagements with cross-functional teams (internal and external)
4. Be able to meaningfully contribute to internal account strategy discussions
5. Be able to conduct executive level dialog in relation to your deliverable/s
6. Be able to develop quality deliverables and deliver them in a timely and coherent manner
7. Be able to gain and maintain the trust of internal stakeholders
A typical engagement requires obtaining buy-in of key stakeholders, confirming scope and timeline, conducting discovery workshops, analyzing and synthesizing information, producing quality, executive ready deliverables and be able to articulate your work in a compelling and effective manner.
? 10 years of relevant experience preferred either as a practitioner, management consultant, or an operational consultant
? Proficient speaker in customer 1:1 and 1: Many event situations. Must exhibit an executive presence
? Experience building and retaining strong customer relationships
? Experience in diverse technology landscape and process/technology integration issues, SAP technologies preferred
Qualifications, Education and Preferred Skills
? Ability to produce storylines and high-quality presentations in PowerPoint with a very keen eye for detail. Comfortable with doing financial analysis in excel spreadsheets.
? Executive presence demonstrated by excellent and energetic public speaking skills
? Passion for technology. SAP technology knowledge is a bonus
? Proven CXO engagement skills
? Product marketing acumen (segment, target, content, lead strategy, etc.)
? Positive, Motivated, Self-starter with a can-do attitude
? Participation in relevant industry associations is a strong positive
Candidates need to reside in the Mid-West region
