We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician (2nd shift M-F) to work at our West Chicago, IL facility. Previous experience within the Ink industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform various types of facility maintenance including basic carpentry, electrical, and plumbing

  • Implement preventive maintenance and repair procedures to expedite timely repairs
  • Maintain company standards of performance. Comply with housekeeping and safety policies/procedures
  • Commit to and be involved with the (TPM) Total Productive Maintenance System and Processes
  • Maintain and repair production and building support equipment
  • Maintain maintenance documentation

Qualifications (Skills – Education – Experience)

  • Knowledge of operating (CMMS) Computerized Maintenance Management Systems & industrial control systems
  • Extensive experience in prioritizing and organizing work activities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within set deadlines and timelines
  • Deep knowledge of installation, repair and maintenance activities, organizational standard procedures, electrical control wiring, hydraulic, and electrical processes and systems
  • Technical school graduate &/or a minimum of 3 years practical experience, with acquired skills in welding, machine troubleshooting, maintenance fundamentals, hydraulics, electricity, and other pertinent fields
  • Good electrical and mechanical ability and knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Understanding of the principals and theories of mechanical/electrical repair and maintenance techniques
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and general computer applications
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, technical drawings
  • Ability to work in team-based environment
  • Strong problem-solving & critical thinking skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Additional qualifications requested or helpful:

  • PLC control troubleshooting
  • Experience with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Quality Systems, and ISO culture
  • UV/TP/OSF (Ink) Manufacturing knowledge
  • Experiencein a production or manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in Spanish, Polish, or sign language
